What a day for Shark Volleyball! We started pool play by splitting with John Glenn before battling back to beat Nouvel and Standish Sterling. Those wins earned us the #2 seed heading into bracket play. In the first round, we took care of All Saints and advanced to meet John Glenn once again. This time, the Sharks came out ready and earned a two set victory to punch our ticket to the championship match! In the championship, we faced a tough Hemlock team. We started slow in the first set and found ourselves in quite a deficit, but this team refused to quit. The Sharks battled back point by point, showing the fight, composure, and resilience that has become such a big part of this team and beat Hemlock in two sets, making us the PINNY INVITE CHAMPIONS! 🦈🏆 So proud of the way this team competed all day, continued to believe in each other, and found a way to finish the job. What a way to represent the Shark Tank! Some impressive numbers from our Pinny Invite championship run! Olivia Brown led the way with 81 kills, 19 aces, 43 digs, 3 blocks, and 34 serve receptions. Tess Farkas contributed 26 kills, 16 aces, 36 digs, 3 blocks, and 33 serve receptions, while Kenzie Davidson added 14 kills and 5 blocks. Maggie Allen finished with 64 assists, 10 kills, 4 blocks, and 5 aces, and Maya Massaway recorded 44 assists and 6 kills. Emma Seleski had a strong day defensively with 58 digs and 73 serve receptions, along with 7 aces. Skyler Post added 19 digs, and Myah Sahr contributed 13 digs and 33 serve receptions. A lot of production across the board and a great example of how every player contributed to our success throughout the tournament. Proud of the way this group competed and continued to find ways to make plays when we needed them.
