Our Lady Sharks traveled to St. Johns today for another full day of competition. We opened pool play against St. Johns, dropping a close 2-1 match, before bouncing back to defeat Leslie 2-1. That earned us a spot in the Gold Bracket, where we met St. Johns again. This time, the Sharks came out on top with a 2-1 victory, getting a little redemption from our first matchup. That win sent us to the semifinals against Alma. Unfortunately, we dropped both sets to the Panthers, bringing our tournament run to an end. These girls have been working tirelessly, with three days of competition in the last four days. The amount of volleyball they have played, the adjustments they have made, and the way they continue to battle for one another is something to be proud of. They have absolutely earned some much-needed rest. Proud of this group and the way they continue to fight, compete, and lift each other up. Now it’s time to rest, recover, and get ready for what’s next.🦈🏐 A look at some of the individual stats from our varsity tournament in St. Johns! Olivia Brown led the Sharks with 66 kills, 12 aces, 42 digs, 5 blocks, and 45 serve receptions. Tess Farkas contributed 30 kills, 4 aces, 28 digs, and 41 serve receptions. Kenzie Davidson added 10 kills and 8 blocks at the net. Maya Massaway recorded 50 assists and 3 blocks, while Maggie Allen finished with 41 assists, 4 aces, 11 digs, and 5 blocks. Defensively, Emma Seleski continued to anchor our back row with 44 digs, 3 aces, and 50 serve receptions. Myah Sahr added 14 digs and 41 serve receptions, while Skyler Post contributed 21 digs.
